This is a highly recommended holiday cottage for anyone planning to visit the Eden Project and the south coast of Cornwall. Located just a mile from the Eden Project, this two bedroom welcoming holiday home is beautifully maintained to provide scrupulously clean, comfortable and attractive accommodation for up to four people.
The property features upside down style accommodation in that the two bedrooms; one double and one twin are on the ground floor, plus a toilet and washbasin. This keeps the sleeping area cool during summer. A cot can be requested to be placed in the twin bedroom. Both bedrooms have wardrobes for clothes and drawers for storage.
The property benefits from gas central heating which keeps it at an optimum temperature all year round.
Upstairs is a spacious open-plan room that has a good-sized fitted kitchen at one end, dining area with a table that seats six and an attractive sitting section. This room is vaulted and beamed which also keeps the temperature comfortable during our increasingly warmer summers. There is an electric heater to add extra warmth in chilly weather.
The accommodation is nicely designed with holidays in mind. There is a television and a DVD player in the sitting area although there is also WiFi which tourists may prefer to rely on for keeping up with news and films on their own electronic devices.
The main bathroom is on this floor. It contains a bath, shower cubicle, hand basin and W.C.
Garden furniture on the patio outside lends itself to outdoor picnic meals and just somewhere pleasant to sit on sunny days.
The gardens are communal and shared with two other cottages which could be hired as a group for bigger families or with friends. Each cottage has its own private parking space.
The owners live on site and will hand over keys and be on hand to help and advise on holiday matters.
If you are a garden lover and hope to visit some of Cornwall’s other gardens in addition to the Eden Project, there are plenty within a short drive such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Tregrehan Garden, Pinetum Gardens and several others. Flowers thrive in Cornwall’s balmy climate and there are succulents and semi-tropical trees and shrubs that are not found anywhere else in Britain.
One of the joys of visiting this part of south Cornwall is the number of quaint an curious Cornish coastal villages, each with their own pretty harbour, small beaches, ancient inns and oodles of character. The village of Par is just a couple of miles away from the holiday cottage. It has a sandy beach if you would like to paddle and laze on the sand.
There is so much to see and do that a week’s holiday would pass all too quickly. Book soon to ensure the best weather periods and welcome to Cornwall.
