How does a 3 bedroom chocolate box thatched Cornish cottage appeal to you? Located in the small town of Stratton on the north Cornish Coast near Summerleaze Beach, this three bedroom one bathroom holiday home offers good quality accommodation with a generous helping of character. The property could be described as quant, a step back in time and has retained exposed timbers, a woodburner in an inglenook fireplace and small but comfortable bedrooms under the eaves. The property sleeps up to six and a family dog is welcome.

The small front garden and back garden are laid to lawn. A decked patio area in the back has two sets of garden furniture to enable guests to take meals there or just sit and enjoy the good Cornish weather. Guests will be able to park either one large or two small cars on the driveway. This can be a real blessing during a busy summer in Cornwall.

A heavily beamed sitting room is a lovely room to relax in. Light the multifuel stove to generate flickering flames and a warm glow. Watch television in this room, play games and chat to your family. People will undoubtedly have much to talk about after exploring their new abode.

An oval table that seats everyone together in the kitchen/dining room is another situation for good conversation, perhaps assisted by a fine wine or a Cornish cider. One of the pleasures of visiting new destinations is discovering the local food. Did you know that Cornish pasties now come in a variety of flavours including curried?

The spacious kitchen is fitted with all essentials plus an American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The cooker is electric although the house is gas centrally heated.

The town of Stratton is fairly picturesque and has a number of historic buildings. There are plenty of shops to supply holiday needs. A couple of pubs may be of interest. There is a park. A museum and a hospital. Cornwall is always good to visit, for its superb beaches, surfing, coastal walks, charming villages, ancient inns and exotic gardens. Sandymouth Bay and Widemouth Bay are two additional long beaches a short drive away.
