If you have never taken a cottage holiday in South Dorset before – you will not know that you have missed the most amazing stretch of sandy beach on the south coast. South Dorset is simply divine; gently rolling countryside that leads down to the sea, lots of good views and plenty to do and see.
Staying in a holiday cottage provides a place to call ‘home’, for a week or weekend. You will have good clean comfortable holiday accommodation and plenty of space in your cottage. There are charming romantic cottages with rambling roses around the door, dog-friendly bungalows, cottages beside a beach, stone-built country cottages with pretty gardens, luxurious properties and airy barn conversions. Some of these holiday homes have a swimming pool, tennis court or hot tub. They really are wonderful holiday homes to stay in. Sadly, budget always comes into the decision but we can aspire to the most expensive properties for some point in the future. Book a house or cottage that suits and pleases you and the magic of Dorset will do the rest.
All of the properties are fully equipped for living almost as you would at home, some may have better accommodation but what most avoid is the everyday clutter that people use. Kitchens will contain all essential appliances such as a cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster and iron, some will have a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, coffee machine, freezer and ice maker. It is a case of shopping around for what you feel you need. The majority of cottages will have Internet in the form of WiFi.
Renting a holiday home that has its own off-road parking space can be a blessing in South Dorset, especially in coastal areas that become very busy when the sun shines. Country cottages often have that extra space that allows for ample parking.
