Banchory is a burgh and town located in the county of Aberdeenshire of Scotland. The town is located at a distance of 18 km, on the west of Aberdeen, in close proximity to the place where Feugh River and River Dee confluence. Along with its beautiful locations, the place is famous for its churches and historical buildings of Victorian era. Owing to its pleasant environment through out the year and old town charm, Banchory is considered as an ideal place for self catering holidays

The most notable churches of this town are Banchory Ternan West Church, Banchory Ternan East Church, Episcopal Church of St Ternan, Roman Catholic Church, and St Columba's. The town houses castles called Crathes and Drum, a golf course, museum, memorial of General Burnett, and Scolty hill. Besides its attractions, there are various self-catering accommodations scattered around the town in the form of log cabins, holiday chalets, small apartments and villas that offer a very comfortable stay to the travellers at much affordable rates in comparison to other options available here.

These accommodations allow travellers to enjoy holidays at one’s own pace, which is not possible in other places like hotel and lodges. Tourists coming to Banchory every year prefer to stay in self catering accommodations as it allows them to rent a spacious and comfortable place.
