The widest of beds found in Wales is a superking which is at least 6ft wide and favoured by many couples. A large bed has its advantages in hot clammy weather because its occupants can spread out to feel cooler. Sadly, there are few days that match this description in Wales, even in the height of summer but a big bed does have more space and therefore comfort. It is often seen as something luxurious.

What is more important, comfort or location?

The Welsh holiday homes displayed on this page all have a superking bed.  Many will be of a 5 Star or luxurious standard, partly because a more spacious room is need to accommodate the bed itself. You will find a range of holiday properties that have a wide super-king bed and these will be dotted all over Wales.  You may have an idea of where you would like to stay in Wales but perhaps a more comfortable holiday cottage will outweigh the importance of the area. What do you think?
