Minworth is a village on the outskirts of Birmingham in the West Midlands area of England. Located near Walmley, Wishaw, Warwickshire, Curdworth, Thimble End and Castle Vale, Minworth got its name from Mynna's Estate. Minworth and Curdworth were established by Angle settlers, and are historically associated with the Arden family.
Minworth is largely known for its industrial units. The village is the home of some large factories including Selecta (vending); Cooke & Son (furniture); steelworks; Safestyle UK and Selco (building) and Speedy (hire). There are factories for The Works (books); Cadbury; Hozelock (hoses) and a paper company. Towards the east of Minworth there is a large Severn Trent wastewater treatment plant.
