Filey on the east Yorkshire coast is a much-loved seaside resort that has built up a cult following over generations of good holidays. This cottage is located three miles outside Filey, within walking distance of a Blue Flag sandy beach. The cottage is a mid-terraced property, part of a smart modern holiday complex which stands on manicured grounds of lawns and lake. There is a leisure suite for guest use that contains a heated indoor swimming pool, saunas, gym and related facilities.
The four bedroom accommodation is smart and very well suited to holiday living. An open-plan living area contains a corner sofa, TV and arm chairs. The décor could be described as hotel style – contemporary, attractive and uncluttered.
A dining table seats eight people comfortably. The clean white kitchen has ample storage space, dishwasher, washing machine and the popular cooking arrangement of gas hob and electric oven.
Each of the four bedrooms is neat and nicely presented. The main bedroom has its own en-suite, there is also a double bedroom on the ground floor, a twin bedroom and a bedroom with two 2ft 6in beds. A separate bathroom has a bath.
At the back of the cottage is a patio area where guests might wish to barbecue the catch of the day purchased in Filey or sizzle a few sausages just for fun as a snack.
This good quality holiday cottage could suit a large family, children would especially love the area, the beaches, boat trips, seal spotting. This Filey seaside cottage is pet-friendly; one dog welcome. There are walks though open countryside and woods that would be good for walks with the dog. Bicycles can be hired locally to cycle through pleasant Yorkshire countryside. The Yorkshire Moors are also just a short drive away, a haven for walkers and nature.
