Charming 1 bedroom pet-friendly cider-house conversion, on a sheep farm near Bideford, Devon

As one of a group of cottages set on Pillhead working sheep farm, guests to the Pillhead Cider House, have access to a shared heated swimming pool, toddler pool, BBQ facilities, all within 130 acres of beautiful grounds. Set on a sheep farm, you can truly escape to the country with a break here.

The bedroom at the cottage features zip and link beds (so can be made up as either a double or a twin - please state required layout at time of booking).

The main section of the cottage consists of a large open plan area, that is airy and bright with a positive holiday vibe. It is colour co-ordinated and furnished with quality furnishings. A super base for a couple/or two friends wanting to split their time between visits to such Devon favourites as the Tarka Trail, RHS Rosemoor, Docton Mill's wild flower gardens, and the nature reserve on Lundy Island.

Whether you choose to spend a relaxing day sunbathing around the pool or out on an adventure, once evening sets in, you will happily return to your cottage. Use fresh produce from Bideford's weekly market, to conjure up old and new recipes in the modern kitchen that has a full range of appliances: an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. There is also a washer/dryer to ensure that your holiday outfits remain clean. Eat at the pretty round dining table before settling yourselves on one of the beautiful comfy sofas opposite the woodburning stove, for a film night.
