About this dogs welcome log cabin for up to 4 guests in Somerset

Secluded two storey holiday barn on the edge of the Quantocks. Step inside to find pleasant spacious accommodation with contemporary appeal. Room plans are upside down in this property; the bedrooms are downstairs whilst the living accommodation is upstairs so that guests have beautiful far reaching views.

This holiday home sleeps up to four guests in its two spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom contains a super-king bed which could be unzipped to form two singles. The second bedroom contains a king-size bed. Both rooms are carpeted and in calm shades of fawn and white. The bedlinen is crisp white cotton and there are soft fluffy white towels. Both bedrooms have their own private shower room.

A flight of stairs from the ground floor hallway leads up to the living accommodation. The stylish sitting room is minimalist in style and uncluttered. It has a couple of leather sofas facing the television and windows. This a pleasant bright room, because of natural light from two windows.

A grey fitted kitchen is a cool place to work. It has a central island with an easy to clean induction hob and curious extractor fan overhead. An electric oven will take care of a roast and pizzas. Make life easy on holiday by cooking frozen food in minutes. Keep frozen goods in the freezer until required. There are stools under an overhang on one side of the island that turn it into a breakfast bar. Sit and encourage the cook whilst meals are being prepared. A table and four chairs stand in a corner of the room to allow for dining together.

When the weather is good, eat outside on the table in the garden. There is also a table for two at the side of the property should anyone want to read in peace and quiet.

Guests may bring one dog. The gardens and countryside around are perfect for walking the dog.

The village of Washford with shops, hairdresser and pub is about half a mile away. Places of interest are Cleeve Abbey on the south side, the Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust and the Tropiquaria Wildlife Park to east.

The best things about this area are the Exmoor National Park and coast, also the Quantock Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the east. Choose from a variety of beaches to explore. Blue Anchor Beach may be of particular interest should anyone staying have a dog because it’s a pet-friendly beach all year round. Walk to Dunster for fabulous scenery and a good tea shop at the other end.

Do come and discover North Somerset. A holiday in this lovely holiday home in Washford should be a delight.
