Imagine yourself seated on the patio, with a drink in your hand, thoughts of the office non-existent, watching the sunset over the resplendently still lake. Or, maybe you are soaking in the hot tub while the children talk excitedly about the wonderful day spent cycling alongside nearby Tewitfield canal.

Now it's time to move inside, to enjoy the spacious open plan living area, furnished in soft grey. In the smart kitchen, rustle up a tasty meal from the fresh provisions purchased at the farm shop in Tewitfield. Eat either on the patio or in the attractive dining area, set for six, before relaxing on a sumptuous sofa. Watch TV or discuss plans for the morrow. Will it be golf; 9 or 18 hole? Kendal Castle is fun or Carnford, for a mosey around the marvellous selection of independent retailers, finishing up in a country bar. Stop off at the Railway Heritage Centre. Maybe Harry Potter fans will be lucky and “Olton Hall”, Hogwart's Express will pass through. Enchanting Windermere is where so many birds winter and a mere 19 miles away.

As night falls, a choice of three comfy bedrooms presents itself:

• 1 double bedroom with TV and en-suite walk-in shower, hand-held shower,

• 1 double bedroom with TV,

• 1 twin bedroom with TV.

There is also a separate bathroom with bath, hand-held shower.

Facilities at the Leisure Village itself include a swimming pool, gym, restaurant and bar. Spa and Beauty Room can be booked separately and at additional cost.
