About this cottage for up to 10 guests in Dorset

If you like old beamed and thatched country cottages then Appletree holiday home will be a real treat. This five bedroom three bathroom holiday home stands in a secluded location in the village of Tarrant Monkton. It is in the high street, although this road belies its name since it is a narrow rural road with passing places. There is a pub just a short walk away. Lovers of the countryside would be in their element here.

A mass of exposed oak beams is prominent inside the cottage and contrasts nicely with the white walls. The effect is bright yet cosy. A cream coloured wood burning stove stands in the sitting room between the cream sofas. This room exudes welcome. A starter basket of logs is provided on arrival so that you can light a fire and add to the cosy feeling.

The kitchen is fitted with contemporary units but because of the beams still retains that country kitchen appearance. It is a lovely room that anyone would enjoy spending time in. A large table with unusual block-type stools stands in the centre of the kitchen where guests can eat together. There is a long stretch of work tops for meal preparation and a dishwasher and butler sink to help with the clear up. A big cream-coloured Aga keeps this room warm as well as cleverly cooking food. A big soft sofa stands along one wall should people want to gather and chat in the kitchen.

Two of the five spacious bedrooms are located on the groundfloor and the other three are upstairs. A big family bedroom contains a double bed. This bedroom has its own shower room. The second bedroom contains a double bed. All beds are comfortable and all bedrooms contain some sort of storage in the form of chests of drawers and/or wardrobes. All bedding and bedlinen is provided.

The three bedrooms upstairs include two big double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower and one an en-suite bathroom. The third bedroom is a twin with single beds.

One of the assets of this lovely rural cottage is the hot tub on the patio in the back garden. Guests report spending enjoyable moments relaxing and chatting in the bubbly warm waters. The patio is a pleasant place to eat outside or just enjoy some summer sunshine. The holiday home sleeps up to ten people, so come with family to enjoy a holiday in Dorset or with friends.

There is ample parking for several vehicles if a group arrives in individual cars.

A sofabed in the snug means that in theory it is possible to accommodate another couple of guests but not necessarily desirable to overcrowd a holiday home; everyone needs their own personal space.

The nearest small shop is just over two miles away although supermarkets deliver and the town of Blandford Forum is twelve minutes drive away where anything can be purchased. It is always nice to explore any ne area on holiday, so most people would go out and about to visit local attractions part of the time.
