This stunning, thatched holiday home, Poppy Cottage, sits on the outskirts of Cadeleigh, Devon. Encircled by gorgeous views of rural Devon and offering accommodation that boasts character, this dwelling is perfect for a family of four's countryside getaway. After arriving at the quaint abode, park in one of two off-road spaces before heading inside. The kitchen/diner enjoys a farmhouse style and offers you all the essentials to fix up nourishing meals with, including a microwave and electric cooker; these meals can be savoured at the charming dining table. Continue down the corridor to the sitting room, a quirky space featuring pops of colour, along with table football and a wall-mounted TV for entertainment; switch on the electric fire for some added warmth! When night falls, climb the stairs to find a fabulous bedroom with a king-size bed with a rustic, exposed beam adorning the ceiling, or stay downstairs and rest in the well-presented twin. Further along from the twin is the bathroom, where you can soak the evening away in the bath with shower over. To the front of the property there is an attractive, private garden, where you can catch the sun's rays on the patio whilst you tuck into an alfresco treat. Take a break from doing the cooking and treat your loved ones to an indulgent meal at The Cadeleigh Arms, where you'll be spoilt for choice with fresh, locally sourced produce acquired from across the South West, perfect for fueling a day of excursions. A short distance from the property lies the village of Cheriton Fitzpaine, home to your amenities, including two friendly pubs and a community shop. Tiverton also isn't far and hosts a good selection of attractions, from the marvellous Tiverton Castle and the Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life, to the unique experience of the Tiverton Canal Co and the impressive Grand Western Canal Country Park. Immerse yourself in history with a tour of Cadbury Castle, once occupied by the Durotriges tribe and thought to be the stronghold of King Arthur during the 6th century, or head to one of Devon's oldest family homes, Fursdon House, where you can lose yourself amongst the vibrant flowers, shrubbery and woodland before ending the day in style with a spot of traditional Devonshire afternoon tea.
