Wellgarth Cottage is one of five terraced cottages situated around a small courtyard development, opposite the owner's home in the village of Newby, looking out onto beautiful countryside with walks to take you from your doorstep and through the Eden Valley.
This spacious family holiday cottage, located in a quiet part of Cumbria, sleeps 6 people over 4 bedrooms (there is one twin bedroom, one double bedroom with en-suite facilities and two single bedrooms); downstairs sees a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious sitting room and an additional smaller second sitting room, great for enjoying the unspoilt nature views.
The village of Newby has plenty of charm and history to discover and is surrounded by rolling landscapes and pure countryside; it sits in a secluded location in the Eden Valley, between the Lake District and northern Pennines.
Open fields surround the village, accommodating sheep, cattle and horses and the nearby market town of Penrith offers a good selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, a cinema and swimming baths, giving this beautiful Newby cottage the perfect combination of convenience and privacy.
This traditional 6 person holiday cottage is close to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Park where you can enjoy some beautiful scenic walks. If you fancy some more history or adventure, a short drive will take you to Lowther Castle Gardens, Rheged Discovery Centre or Hadrian's Wall.
