What Surrey Offers for Self-Catering Breaks

Surrey is one of the leafy counties that surround London and could be a good base if you want to take a self catering holiday near London.   As with other home counties, many parts of Surrey have good transport links with London making visits to England’s capital city feasible during a self catering stay in Surrey.  Gatwick international airport is also located in Surrey.  Although not a typical summer family self catering holiday destination, Surrey does attract a number of families on account of the thrills and rides available at Thorpe Park which is located at Chertsey in Surrey, some 30 miles from central London.
