Unusual, quirky and utterly charming is this holiday accommodation for two people in mid Wales, not far from the stunning Elan Valley. Made of pine and affectionately known as a pod, this lodge is reminiscent of a traditional gypsy caravan with its curved front and compact interior. But step inside and discover that it is a jewel of a holiday home that contains good quality living and sleeping accommodation that it is attractively presented.

The timber lined interior is ever so cosy around the open-plan space. The living and cooking section is arranged around the front end where the big glazed doors create a window on the world, or in this case on the fabulous views of gentle hills and farmland. There is a small table for two where a couple can dine and a mini kitchen opposite which includes enough to get by: an electric two ring hob, a dishwasher, sink, refrigerator and microwave.

Sit on the sofa and cuddle up to watch the views or read. There is a small television above the table that you may wish to watch if you prefer, also WiFi should you like to bring your own tablet to watch your favourite downloaded movies.

Cuddle up in the double bed at the back of the pod when you’re ready. The sleeping quarters are separated from the shower and toilet by a dividing wall. Small, neat and functional, this accommodation would please many couples.

To add to the delight, there is a hot tub and a fire pit on the patio outside. People on holiday with time to enjoy the moment, appreciate warm jet massages in the hot tub whilst taking in the views. This certainly classifies as a relaxing break in Wales.
