The village of Tintagel in Cornwall is forever associated with the Arthurian legend. A steep track leads from the village of Tintagel to the ruins of King Arthur's castle and Merlin's Cave. There is an annual re-enactment of the Battle of Cammlan when King Arthur died at the hands of Mordred and the Picts.
