Sussex in the south east of England is a green, pleasant, slightly hilly county with a beautiful coastline interspersed with seaside resorts.
Here you will find Brighton, Eastbourne, Bognor-Regis, Bexhill-on-Sea, Hastings, Hove, Portslade-by-Sea, Seaford, Shoreham by Sea, and Worthing among other towns in Sussex.
The South Downs are the gently rolling chalk hills that go down to the coast, sometimes ending in dramatic white cliffs.
The South Downs Way is a national trail that runs for 161km from Eastbourne toWinchester. This area is a proposed new South Downs national park and encompasses part of Hampshire and Sussex. There are numerous other paths and trails for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The air is fresh, the views magnificent. It's a lovely area to explore, especially during the warmer months; you will come across pretty villages, many with centuries old churches, gardens and stately homes to visit, several tourist attractions.
