Dartford’s claim to fame is the Queen Elizabeth Bridge which carries traffic over the River Thames or via an underground tunnel between Kent an Essex. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, Dartford is a large town with a railway station, an industrial area close to the river and very good access to London and the Kent coast via the excellent network of roads.  The big Bluewater Shopping complex is just three miles away; almost in walking distance.
