Knighton is a Marches border town; part of the town is in Wales, the other in England.
It's an interesting small town with several good pubs in the high street, small local shops, a church, supermarket and the Offa's Dyke visitor centre. The visitor centre offers interactive displays and local tourist information, toilets, and ice creams. There is a park behind the visitor centre with playing fields and a children's swing park. A footpath leads down to the river and Offa's Dyke. In the summer, the river is shallow enough for children to paddle in.
Radnor Forest is close by for peaceful woodland walks. The countryside around Knighton is simply stunning, one great rural view after another.
