Kinsale is an attractive tourist town at the mouth of a river in County Cork.  The town is centred on the harbour on the River Bandon and spreads out in a rough circular fashion from there.  Rent a holiday apartment or house overlooking the harbour to see pleasure boats and yachts bobbing up and down in the water. A pavement runs along the length of the harbour, past the marina and beyond. It’s a good place to walk on a sunny day or to have lunch in one of the cafes.

The centre of town, around Market Lane has market stalls to browse as its name suggests. Colourful buildings line the streets in this area. Look closely and you will find a good number of eateries. Kinsale has a culinary reputation and one activity you may wish to book in advance is a gourmet food tour.
