Can everyone have a private bathroom in an Edinburgh holiday rental?

Everyone prefers to have accommodation and their own private bathroom, however, it is not always possible with city breaks unless the property is very recent and incorporates today’s expectations.

Many city centre apartments are located in old tenement blocks that allow little room for redevelopment. Occasionally, an old building has been completely renovated and converted to luxury apartments. These will often have one or two bedrooms, both with their own bath or shower rooms.

Houses with multiple bathrooms

House rentals face a similar dilemma in that many cottages and town houses were built of stone and the original design permits little change. Family holiday homes are usually acceptable with only a couple of bathrooms because families are used to shared facilities. The bigger problem arises if a fair sized group of unrelated people wants to book a house together for a holiday or event. These people do not really want to share bathroom facilities but there are very few big houses with a personal bathroom per bedroom.
