A good self-catered holiday with dogs in the Northumberland National Park begins with good quality accommodation. You would want to rent a cottage or pine lodge that pleases the eye when you step in and encounter it for the first time. It’s gratifying to discover that the beds are comfortable, the television has generous dimensions and that all cooking utensils and appliances in the kitchen are in a pristine condition.

Dogs are never permitted on beds in holiday lets for hygiene reasons. Most people would bring their dog’s own bed with them, occasionally one is provided. Dogs vary so much is size that it is difficult to provide a suitable dog bed to please every guest. Your dog would be happiest to have a few familiar items in his new temporary home to help him relax.
