There can be few places in the UK, or the world even, that compare to London when it comes to self catering short breaks.  There is so much to see and do in the big city of London.  London has world class attractions including the London Eye, theatres, restaurants, museums including the British Museum and galleries.  A number of these amazing attractions are free to enter, but charges apply for some.  Do your research on finding free London attractions when planning your self catering short break. 

Self catering accommodation in London is typically in the form of apartments.  You may be lucky though and find some unusual self catering in London in houseboats or other unusual options.  Country cottages are not typically found in London.

Do keep in mind that short break bookings tend to be for a minimum of 3 nights and some owners will welcome short break bookings only in low season.
