Clare is yet another interesting old Suffolk village, complete with motte, a flint decorated parish church with a tower that dates back to the 13th century and some excellent wood carving, the ruins of a priory, a country park and local museum. It's impossible to visit Suffolk without stepping into the past. The county is highly recommended for both scenery, visitor attractions and historical interest.
