Self-catering holiday accommodation in and near Basildon in Essex

Basildon in Essex is not a typical choice when it comes to Essex self catering holidays.  Basildon is not known as a particularly picturesque town, however it is a town with a good range of facilities and you may want to stay in or near Basildon for work or to visit friends or family.

In its favour Basildon does have a number of shops and a reasonably large shopping centre where you can very often bag a bargain.  Basildon also has the Festival Leisure Park, which is termed by some locals 'Bas Vegas' for its bright shining lights.  At the Festival Leisure Park there are bars, restaurants, a cinema and a bowling alley and almost guaranteed fun.
