Book self-catering holiday lets near the former American Adventure Theme Park in Derbyshire.

Rent a small family-sized cottage or apartment near Ilkeston in Derbyshire to give the children a truly wonderful short break. Sadly, the American Adventure Theme Park is no more but there are lots of other good places to visit in the area. With a comfortable, safe and secure accommodation to call home for a few days, you can have all the usual facilities that you would have at home normally; a washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, tumble dryer and so on. It is just a case of choosing a holiday cottage that contains what you need. Once the family needs are taken care of, you can relax and enjoy a good break.

    The holiday accommodation

Children can have a bedroom each as they would at home or they may like the idea of sharing a bunk room, as a change, for a few days. A garden would allow them to play outside whilst you full the dishwasher or better still, get them to help and encourage team work.

With a good night’s sleep and everything you need on tap, going out to a new place to visit each day, is the basis for a really good holiday near Ilkeston.

Nottingham’s Wollaton Deer Park is not too far away for a good walk and to see the animals. Plus, it’s free. Although a little further, Matlock and the Derbyshire Peak District are about a forty-minute drive away. Closer to Ilkeston is the city of Nottingham and various attractions, some centred around Robin Hood.

Find that holiday let of a good standard and you will find that holidays in unusual locations such as Ilkeston and the Midlands can be surprisingly good.
