You might be looking for a flat, a family holiday home or even a large group accommodation house for a few days stay in Gravesend. We can hopefully help you find something suitable. All holiday accommodation shown is of a very good standard and run by professionals.
Each holiday letting is a completely private unit that is reserved for your use only. You can move in and know that not only will you have comfortable accommodation but also rest assured that your belongings will be safe and secure.
View the photograph gallery of each property to see if it appeals to you. The most important factors are the sleeping arrangements, that has to be right otherwise there may be some most disgruntled people on holiday. Everyone has their own preferences for double, kingsize, superking or twin beds. Bunk beds are usually to be avoided unless they’re for children who can get quite excited about them.
Holidaymakers generally fall into two camps, those who accept what there is in a holiday home and those who are incredibly fussy, even down to the point of the thread count of bedlinen or the power of the shower. If you fall into the latter category, do make a list of questions to ask before booking and be confident in your own mind that you are choosing accommodation that will satisfy.
Perhaps not the most obvious choice of holiday destination but Gravesend is an interesting place to visit. It stands on the south side of the River Thames estuary with the Essex town of Tilbury on the other bank. It’s most famous resident was the Red Indian Pocohontas, to whom a statue stands in honour in the town. Catch a riverboat from Gravesend into London for days out.
A short break in Gravesend would be ideal for a shopping holiday. Come and stock up on pre-Christmas bargains. A ferry takes foot passengers across from Gravesend to Tilbury in Essex and from there it is relatively easy to get to Lakeside Shopping Centre or drive to Bluewater Shopping Centre seven miles away. Bring your bargains back to your holiday cottage to store until it is time for you to return home. If flying home, it is possibel to arrange for a courier parcel service to send your goods by road. They will collect from your holiday accommodation and this can be less expensive than a suitcase in the hold on a flight.
As long as you have your own car, the Kent coast is only a short drive away. From Gravesend, visit Whitstable and Herne Bay or the nature reserves along the Kent coast. All have sections where dogs are allowed and you can walk or cycle for miles along the coastal path from Whitstable to Margate. Return to the comfort of your holiday home in the evening, exhausted but pleased to have a place where you can truly relax.
