In your cottage, bungalow or house, you will have a fully-equipped kitchen to use to prepare your favourite meals, which is perfect for if you like to cook delicious meals. Your kitchen might come with some extra appliances such as a liquidiser, electric whisk and a rotisserie oven, so you can prepare food that you might not otherwise be able to back home. To make your life easier, you could also rent a property with a dish washer so after all your cooking and eating, you won’t have to think about doing any washing up!
Once you’ve decided you’d love to try a self-catering break, you’ll need to pick the destination in Nottinghamshire. The quaint village of Cromwell towards the east of Nottinghamshire makes a lovely settlement to reside in, and is only home to a few hundred residents. If you really want some tranquillity and to enjoy the quiet on your holiday then Cromwell might make an ideal location for you and your loved ones. The 13th century St. Giles’ Church dominates the centre of the village, and with country lanes to explore plus the River Trent, it is a peaceful and picturesque area to stroll through as you breathe in the lovely fresh air in this area.
One advantage of staying in the village of Cromwell is that it's just off of the A1 Motorway which means quick access to the north and south of Nottinghamshire when you want to sightsee on days out. There are also two fishing lakes within walking distance which could be a boon for anglers.
Self-catering holidays are a wonderful way to unwind and have a nice break with your nearest and dearest, but at the same time not leave any home comforts behind. With comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms with Jacuzzis and large living areas to lounge in, you’ll soon feel like you’re right at home in your Nottinghamshire accommodation.
