Book a holiday cottage in Bodham, Norfolk

Staying in a holiday cottage is a wonderful way to explore a new place yet still have home comforts. In your self-catering accommodation you will have a fully-equipped kitchen so that you can rustle up your favourite meals, cosy living rooms with TVs to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a film in the evenings, and bedrooms with king size beds in. You might even opt for a cottage with a swimming pool for that extra added touch and a holiday to remember.

    North Norfolk holidays

If wanting to visit Norfolk on your self-catering break, then the civil parish of Bodham in the north of the county is an excellent choice. This small but very friendly and welcoming village is close to the North Norfolk coast and has a lovely community feel to it. There are several country cottages which you can rent - some dog-friendly, some perfect for couples - and there is an old-fashioned pub to pop along to which also serves food.

    Stay close to Cromer

Close to Bodham is the seaside town of Cromer which is just a fifteen-minute drive away. Cromer has a sandy beach and a popular pier and makes for an excellent day trip. If you love the sea but do not wish to stay with all the tourists then Bodham might be for you as the short drive will take you away from the crowds and into the heart of a friendly village, and you might end up feeling like a local!

Also nearby is Sheringham which is on the coast as well and is an even shorter drive away from Bodham at just ten minutes. Sheringham is a pretty seaside town centred around a main high street with antique and crafts shops, and is also home to its own museum.

A larger market town to explore close to Bodham is Holt, less than four miles from the village. Holt was devasted by a great fire in 1708 and was rebuilt, and today it features a wealth of Georgian architecture from when the town was reconstructed which makes it interesting to visit.

    Cottages for couples and families

If you wish to discover the north of Norfolk on a self-catering trip, then renting a cottage in Bodham is a great idea. You can use the village as a base in which to explore the coast and other nearby towns and villages, and you can retreat back to the comfort of your accommodation in the evenings to enjoy a meal in private with your loved ones. Whether you are after a luxury, romantic break with your partner, or are taking the whole family on holiday and need a cottage with plenty of bedrooms and a private garden, there is something for everyone in Bodham.
