Book a family self-catering cottage in Aylmerton, near Cromer

Located in the north of the county of Norfolk lies the village of Aylmerton. The village itself is very small but it is close to some excellent attractions in the county and is also home to an array of beautiful self-catering holiday cottages.

Aylmerton is less than a ten-minute drive away from the popular coastal town of Cromer with its beautiful sandy beach and famous pier with a Pavilion Theatre at the end. If you don’t want to stay in the hustle and bustle of Cromer itself, then Aylmerton is a great choice for your cottage holiday, as it is quiet and tranquil, and you will feel like a local coming home to your self-catering accommodation after a day of exploring some of the main sites of Norfolk.

As well as Cromer and other north-coast beaches such as Sheringham, another nearby attraction to Aylmerton is the Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate, just a three-minute drive away from the village. Felbrigg Hall dates from the 17th century and is part of a National Trust property. You can explore the hall itself, visit the walled garden or follow a trail in the woodland. It makes for a great day out from Aylmerton.

All kinds of family self-catering accommodation

There are plenty of cottages to choose from, some with gardens for if you want to have a bit of private outdoor space or are coming with the kids so they can carry on playing whilst you relax, and some even have added luxuries such as swimming pools and hot tubs. If you are coming on a romantic break, then renting a cottage with a Jaccuzi bath might be something to consider, or maybe a quaint lodge with character such as wooden beams running along the ceilings and wood burning stoves.

As well as these extras, all cottages will come with fully-equipped kitchens for you to make your favourite home-cooked meals (or have someone cook for you!), living rooms with televisions and DVD players, plus comfortable bedrooms so that you can get a good nights’ sleep. Some are also dog-friendly for if you have a beloved pooch that you don’t want to leave behind on your holiday.

Aylmerton is a wonderful choice of village to reside in for a self-catering holiday in Norfolk. Close to several attractions, your holiday cottage will come to feel like a home away from home as you relax on the sofa of your accommodation after a day of exploring with your friends and family.
