Parkhurst is a village northwest of the town of Newport on the Isle of Wight. It has a large population however has very few amenities on the other hand it is very close to Newport and therefore everything you need is not far away. Parkhurst also has a forest named after it which is a site of specific scientific interest due to its ancient woodland relict heathland and plantattions, this makes it a wonderful place to visit. It is a haven for wildlife, specifically the red squirrel and many species of bird including the great spotted woodpecker.
