The City of Doncaster lies close the A1 in the Midlands, Yorkshire. There are good roads from Doncaster to many places in the Midlands such as the Peak District via the A630 and Sheffield, Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Mansfield to the south and Pontefract to the north.
Doncaster has a reputation of being a lively place for night out with many clubs, pubs, theatre and a good variety of restaurants. There are three golf clubs and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.
The Dome Leisure Centre is popular with families for its 7 pool water world at the Lagoons, ice rink, climbing wall and cinema complex nearby.

Doncaster is served by Robin Hood Airport which is on the south east side of town. The M18 on the south of Doncaster links the M1 Motorway with the M62 further north.
