Monnington House is a lovely luxury 5 star rated self-catering property providing superb accommodation in an idyllic situation. It has 9 spacious bedrooms sleeping 18 in luxurious superking zip and link beds and linen. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen is large and easy to use and geared up for catering with 4 door aga (winter months only) , 2 electric ovens, 2 dishwashers and american style fridge freezer with ice maker. The dining area seats up to 20 and by arrangement by can 24 if you are taking the CIder Mill too and overlooks the large garden. There are 3 reception rooms all with wood burners, comfy sofas and handmade curtains - you will find a spot for a read, chatting, playing bridge or watching tv. Dogs (by prior arrangement) love it here too.
On site there is plenty to do. In the outbuildings there is shared use of a games room with pool table and table football and a table tennis room - a great space to let off steam! There is also a huge 2 acre garden and massive playing field with 2 football goals. There is a huge outside table which is south facing and perfect for long lazy lunches. Webber style bbq is provided in the summer months and large parasol for shade.
Nearby you can visit The National Trust Weir Gardens which is a fabulous garden built by the side of the Wye, visit Hay on Wye and or browse in Richard Booths Book shop and have a coffee or sneak into the cinema at the back of the shop...paradise! For antique lovers a visit to Presteigne is recommended. Historians love viewing the Mappa Mundi in Hereford Cathedral.
Fishing, wild swimming, llama trekking, riding and canoeing are all available nearby.
