The Tallow Factory is a spacious 4 bedroom 16th century timber-framed cottage in the heart of Dedham village with a wealth of exposed beams and period features. It was featured in a BBC programme on holiday cottages in England with Ashley Judd. The historic village of Dedham lies on the Essex-Suffolk border surrounded by miles of unspoiled countryside. Downstairs there is a spacious reception area leading to the main ground floor rooms - a relaxing living room in the original Tudor part of the property featuring a fireplace and plenty of comfortable sofas, high speed broadband, cable TV and a library of current novels for your entertainment. Across the hall there is a full bathroom featuring large bath tub and rain shower with washing machine and tumble dryer, a reception area with filtered water station and coffee and tea making facilities. leading into a fully equipped kitchen featuring a large oak farmhouse table with seating for 8-10 opening onto the patio with al fresco dining and secret garden with yoga deck.

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms - a magnificent master bedroom with brand new luxurious kingsize bed, lounge, writing desk, and ensuite WC; the second bedroom features views of the classical English garden and surrounding trees of Dedham Vale and can be set as a king size bed or twins with ensuite full bathroom; the third bedroom can also be set as either a king or twin single beds with a shower room directly adjacent and a two-room suite on the 3rd floor which has an inner bedroom with full double and an outer room which has a single bed to sleep a max of 10 people. There is also a brand new double sofabed in living room which could be used to accommodate an additional 2 people, but this needs to be booked in advance. So in total we can sleep 10-12 people. There are 2 further bath/shower rooms in the house making a total of 3 full bathrooms and one ensuite WC.
