It is self catering holiday cottage situated in heart of rolling countryside offering beautiful views over the rural farmland of Herefordshire.  Little Canwood House, has been sympathetically restored to create a traditional yet modern feel, offering 5 Star Tourist Board rated, self catering, accommodation suitable for families and groups- sleeps 8. 

Little Canwood House is in a  remote area but still situated less than 15 minutes from Hereford City centre and approximately 20 minutes from the M50 motorway means that the accommodation is easily accessible.

Laburnum Lodge is the perfect space for up to 6 people, providing everything you could need and welcoming comfortable accommodation. Laburnum has it all, from glorious views over the natural haven of Exmoor to a private and secluded location at the end of Woodcombe lodges. Enjoy the thoughtfully designed interiors and the 3 acres of stunning gardens while you stay, and don’t forget to take advantage of the play area and games room while you’re here!

Accessible Holiday Lodge

This is an M2 rated accessible holiday lodge.  Wheelchair access via a ramp is available at the side of the lodge (next to car parking).  Wide doors open up to the open plan living area.  There is a wheel in the shower room, plus a pull down seat and grab handle. The twin/linked and double bedrooms have space for a wheel chair.

The kitchen is another ideal space which will make cooking for the family a delight, equipped with a microwave, cooker, fridge freezer, toaster and a kettle as well as an array of utensils. And, with an open plan arrangement, you don’t have to worry about missing out on any family fun, as the space is designed with a sociable arrangement in mind!

 

In the evening, the three bedrooms you can choose between will offer something for everyone.

•The master bedroom offers versatility, with twin beds that can be linked on request, as well as a lovely ensuite shower wet room with a toilet and shower wheelchair. You can even access the external patio from this room, so you can wake up and refresh yourself under the morning sun.

•The third bedroom is a comfortable twin bedroom.

•The main bathroom has a bath, shower, wash hand basin, WC, and a heated towel rail.

During your stay at Laburnum lodge, you’ll have access to all the excellent facilities of Woodcombe lodges. Starting with the 3 acres of gardens, you’ll be surrounded by sublime examples of the countryside, the perfect place to reconnect with nature and recharge. There are 12 local walks right from your doorstep, as well as an array of other stunning walks throughout Exmoor national park, The Quantocks and the southwest coast, so you’ll be spoilt for choice if wandering around nature is your thing! Or, hang out in the cosy games room with a table tennis table, pool table and table football. There’s even a lovely children’s play area any little ones will certainly enjoy. In the surrounding areas of Laburnum Lodge, nearby Minehead is well worth a visit, with its unique pubs and shops and stunning beach. Willows has a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, comfortable open-plan sitting room and downstairs bathroom with walk-in shower. Upstairs you will find the main en-suite bedroom which overlooks a pond. There is also a further double bedroom and two single bedrooms along with a further bathroom.

Outside Willows there is a gravel area with patio table and a lawn which overlooks a wild flower bank and a beautiful valley. Garden is surrounded by wooden fence with connecting gates to other cottage gardens.

The bedroom has a king-size bed and is set on a galleried mezzanine overlooking the sitting room. Steps down from the sitting room lead to a luxury bathroom with an oval air bath, big enough for two, and in which guests can have a gentle and relaxing aquamassage. There is also a separate shower cubicle.

Outside the garden overlooks the small pond and is partly gravelled and planted with sea-side loving plants. There is a separate paved area with patio furniture with raised shrub borders and climbing plants. A further private lawn area looks up the valley and into the orchard, an ideal spot for birdwatching.

Bath and hand towels are provided in this cottage. The cottage has its own parking space. This is a pet-free cottage.

Dittiscombe Valley is located close to historic Slapton village, beautiful Dartmouth and romantic Salcombe. Escape for a family break to The Cider Mill.  Pet-friendly and with a large enclosed garden, this is a superb holiday home which enjoys an idyllic setting just 10 minutes’ walk from the River Wye.  With views out over the paddock and out to the Wye Valley in the distance, this is a great place to wake up to country views every day on holiday.  For active holidaymakers, this is a superb area to visit; with good walks, canoeing and paddle boarding all possible close by.
